YDF Monthly Camp
The YDF Monthly Camp brought together over 350 children with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and their families for a day of learning, leadership, and wellness.
A key highlight was our One-Day Camp Manager initiative, where Ms. Chhavi, a YDF volunteer, successfully led and coordinated the entire camp, demonstrating outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
The camp began with Yoga and Pranayama to promote physical and mental well-being, followed by routine growth and health assessments.
Families also attended two expert sessions:
Managing T1D During Summer & Preventing Hypoglycemia by Mr. Harsh Kohli, focusing on hydration, travel, and summer safety.
Understanding HbA1c Through Logbook Data by Mr. Anil Kumar Vedwal, explaining the connection between daily glucose records and long-term diabetes management.
The event reinforced YDF's commitment to empowering children with T1D and their families through education, leadership, and comprehensive diabetes care.
